A profitable trade is not determined by the entry alone—it is determined by how well the position is managed from start to finish.
Trade management is the process of
protecting your capital while giving your
trade the best opportunity to reach its target.
Before entering any position, every trader
should already have a well-defined Stop Loss
(SL) to control risk and a Take Profit (TP) to secure potential gains. However, successful trading doesn't end there.
As the market moves, it's important to
monitor your trade objectively. When price moves in your favor, adjusting your Stop Loss to break-even can help eliminate
unnecessary risk. Depending on your trading plan, you may also choose to secure partial profits while allowing the remaining position to continue toward a higher target.
Good trade management is not about
reacting to every market movement—it's about following your trading plan with discipline. Avoid moving your Stop Loss farther away out of hope, and don't close profitable trades too early out of fear. Let your strategy, not your emotions, make the decisions.
Remember, consistent profitability doesn't come from perfect entries alone. It comes from managing risk, protecting profits, and making disciplined decisions throughout the life of every trade.
