🚨 FOMC RECAP: THE FED HOLDS RATES — WHAT ABOUT BITCOIN? 📊
The October 28 FOMC meeting is over. Here's what crypto investors should know.
🏦 1. The Fed's decision
The Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 3.75%–4.00%.
📈 2. What did the Fed say?
🔹 Economic activity is expanding at a strong pace. 🔹 Inflation remains elevated. 🔹 The Fed wants more information before deciding its next policy move.
⚠️ 3. What does this mean for Bitcoin?
A rate hold doesn't automatically mean BTC will rise.
Crypto markets can react to the decision, the Fed's wording, future rate expectations, Treasury yields, and the US dollar.
If investors expected a hold already, the actual decision may have less impact than the outlook for future policy.
🔍 4. What I'm watching next
✅ BTC price action and trading volume ✅ US dollar strength (DXY) ✅ US Treasury yields ✅ Upcoming inflation and employment data
🧠 My takeaway: Don't trade just because the FOMC meeting is over. Watch how the market reacts and manage your risk.
👇 What do you think?
Will Bitcoin react more to the Fed's decision itself or expectations for the next meeting?
It's tempting to focus only on how much money a trade could make.
But beginners should also ask:
🔹 How much could I lose? 🔹 At what point would my idea be invalidated? 🔹 Am I using money I need for essential expenses? 🔹 Am I making decisions because of fear or excitement?
A good-looking opportunity can still fail.
Never borrow money just to chase crypto profits, and don't assume a stop-loss eliminates every risk.
My reminder: Protect your ability to keep learning.
What risk-management lesson would you tell a beginner?
DCA means investing a fixed amount at regular intervals instead of trying to find the perfect buying price.
For example, investing $20 per month means contributing $240 over 12 months.
But remember:
✅ DCA can build investing discipline. ✅ You buy at different prices over time. ⚠️ It doesn't guarantee profits. ⚠️ Your investment can still lose value.
For me, the biggest lesson is that a strategy should fit my budget, not my emotions.
Discussion: Do you prefer weekly DCA or monthly DCA, and why?
