• Full Oct-22 tranche incl. team/foundation slices: ~97.4M = ~51% of circulating (~$2.02M)
• Price at unlock: ~$0.0207

Why this one is different from most unlock posts:

First, the absorption math. Scroll's daily spot volume is only ~$1.77M (CoinGecko). This unlock's dollar value alone exceeds an entire day of trading. Even if just 20% of the tranche gets sold, that's ~$400K of supply hitting bids — roughly a quarter of normal daily volume.

Second, the setup. SCR trades at $0.0207, down 98.5% from its $1.43 ATH. Market cap is ~$3.9M against a 1B total supply. This unlock isn't diluting a rich asset — it's landing on a price that already reflects terminal pessimism. That cuts both ways: capitulation may be priced in, or the marginal seller down here has nothing left to lose.

The counterpoint (as always): allocation ≠ auto-dump. E&G tokens are earmarked for ecosystem growth, not necessarily market sales. The zkEVM thesis doesn't change on Oct 22.

But watch the second-order effect: unlock day clears the supply overhang as a narrative. After today, Scroll's known shock calendar is lighter — which is exactly when supply-driven stories flip from headwind to "overhang cleared."

A $2M unlock that hits harder than a $1B one?

$SCR (Scroll) releases ~97M tokens on Oct 22 (RootData via ChainCatcher), roughly $2M at today's price. Next to Celestia's $1.08B $TIA unlock on Oct 30, it looks like pocket change. Percentages tell a different story: 97M SCR is ~51% of the token's entire circulating supply (190M, per Tokenomist), the largest relative release on the whole October calendar.

Why it matters: at $0.0217 (-2.3% today) and a ~$4M market cap, this is one of the thinnest markets facing one of the fattest relative unlocks. Even partial selling of a 51% supply event moves the book hard. The one soft spot: these tokens go to Ecosystem & Growth, grants and liquidity programs rather than insider wallets, so they tend to get deployed over time instead of market-sold at once. That cushions the blow, but at this scale it leaves little room for error.

One more wrinkle: the dollar figure is a moving target. The same calendar priced this unlock near $14M weeks ago, before SCR's collapse shrank the market it now hits. The percentage never changed; the liquidity did.

Tokenomist's history note on past SCR unlocks: medium volatility in the 7 days after. Oct 22 is worth watching closely.

深夜聊聊 $SCR 这个案例，挺让人唏嘘的。

从 $1.94 一路砸到 $0.02683，市值只剩 510 万美金，24h 成交 425 万——一个曾经被寄予厚望的以太坊 L2，现在流动性已经薄到风一吹就抖。

社区最大的怨气其实不在价格，而在"空投收割"的叙事：用积分预期把用户圈进来刷交互、贡献 TVL，代币解锁后被贴上"垃圾 L2"的标签，信任一旦崩了，K 线基本就是自由落体。

我的几点观察：
一、L2 赛道供给已经严重过剩，没有真实用户和差异化场景的项目，代币只会持续失血；
二、当前市值低于日成交，属于典型的"没人拿只有人换手"状态，任何反弹都要先过筹码解锁这一关；
三、对普通参与者来说，与其赌情绪反转，不如把它当作观察空投经济学失败样本——TGE 前的预期管理、解锁节奏、生态承接能力，缺一个都可能变成下一个 SCR。
