🟡 Bitcoin price wobbles ahead of Fed’s rate decision

Bitcoin (BTC) dipped as low as $59,500 on Binance ahead of tomorrow’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting. Market participants are bracing for a hawkish stance from the Federal Reserve (Fed), with expectations set for unchanged interest rates.

The CME FedWatch Tool indicates a mere 4.4% of economists predict a rate cut—the first in over a decade—while a dominant 95.6% anticipate rates to hold steady between 525-550 basis points.

According to The Kobeissi Letter, current market data indicates a 36% probability that there will be no interest rate cuts this year. Four months ago, the likelihood of maintaining current rates was only about 3%.

Expectations have also shifted to just one reduction this year. Previously, the market anticipated six rate cuts. Additionally, the probability of experiencing two or more rate cuts has diminished to 31%.

🔺 Stagflation risk

Amidst this financial climate, the US grapples with stagflation risks as inflation persists and economic growth slows.

The first quarter of 2024 saw GDP growth decelerate to 1.6%, falling short of the 2.2% forecast and down from the previous quarter’s 3.4%. Concurrently, the US Core PCE inflation index climbed from 2.0% to 3.7%.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell stated that recent data does not make the Fed more confident, suggesting a longer timeline to regain economic stability. He expressed belief in the adequacy of current policies to navigate the risks at hand, hinting at sustained high-interest rates without increases.

Bitcoin’s trajectory mirrored these economic uncertainties, dropping below $62,000 earlier in the week due to renewed stagflation worries.

A brief rally above $64,000 occurred with the launch of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in Hong Kong yesterday, but the momentum was short-lived as investor caution set in ahead of the Fed’s key decision.

🚨 408万枚$BTC 落到短期持有者手里！我怎么感觉，比特币下一轮大波动的火药桶已经堆好了？

兄弟们，别光盯着BTC今天涨了几百、跌了几千美元了！链上这组数据，我觉得比K线还值得琢磨！

最新数据显示，比特币短期持有者持仓达到408万枚，创下6月中旬以来新高。相比7月底，增加了42.2万枚，涨幅约12%！

乍一看，漂亮啊！新人还在进场，有人愿意接盘，说明市场没凉。

但我反而有点担心，因为买得越多，不代表拿得越稳！

为什么这么说？

第一，新买家主要集中在8.2万至8.6万美元附近入场。这批筹码成本不低，BTC稍微往下砸一砸，部分人可能就坐不住了。

第二，买入力度已经明显放缓！10月前两周新增约15.4万枚，但最近一周只有4.8万枚。人还在买，可冲劲明显没之前足了。

第三，也是我最在意的：短期持有者的未实现利润缓冲，已经从16%缩到10%！

这意味着什么？以前跌一点叫回调，现在再跌深一点，可能就有人开始抢着跑路了！

我个人并不认为这是纯粹的利空。有人接货总比没人接好，但短期筹码越集中，市场对价格波动就越敏感。

接下来我重点盯住7.49万美元附近的短期持有者平均成本线。守得住，市场还有消化浮筹的空间；真跌穿了，抛压可能比想象中更凶。

牛市最怕的不是没人买，而是买进来的人，都以为自己能比别人先跑！ 😂

$BTC lost 81k this evening and honestly I didn't love how it happened.

Got rejected near 82,940 earlier today, then slow bleed all afternoon. Now sitting around 80,900, under both 4H EMAs (20 around 82,170, 50 around 82,760). Lower highs since the 85.6k top on Oct 6 too.

For me the real floor is 79,800, that's the wick from yesterday where buyers stepped in hard. A 4H close under that and I think we go hunting lower.

If bulls want it back they need 81,700 reclaimed first, then a 4H close over 82,200. Until then I'm not chasing longs.

Anyone buying this dip or waiting for 79.8k?

No advice here, just watching like you guys 🥲

New Bitcoin holders are currently holding more BTC than before. The supply held by "short-term holders" has reached approximately 4.08 million BTC—the highest level since mid-June.
What does this mean? This group primarily owns coins purchased within the last five months. Their holdings have increased by about 12% since the lows seen in July, with roughly 154,000 BTC added in the first two weeks of October alone.
However, there is a crucial point to consider: the average cost basis for these holders is around $74,900, which is very close to the current market price. This leaves them with a profit buffer of only about 10%. If the price falls below this level, the group will move into a loss, which could trigger increased selling pressure.
On-chain data further reveals that during the recent price decline, short-term holders sent a larger volume of coins to exchanges, whereas long-term holders showed relatively little movement. This suggests that a significant portion of the current market pressure is originating from these newer holders.
In my view, this data is neither purely "bullish" nor "bearish." Rather, it indicates that the conviction of a large segment of the market is currently being put to the test. Consequently, the price level around $74,900 is significant.

También a pesar de todas las noticias "negativas" Btc logra aguantar el precio y nada mas logra una caída notable de 80k hasta los 78k pero fue únicamente aprovechándose del miedo y los mayoristas comprando a precios de "regalo"

Las noticias negativas macro económicas afectan el precio de BTC pero no lo suficiente para tumbarlo por debajo de 75k absorbiendo las ventas.

EN EL CASO BAJISTA 🐻: Los múltiples rechazos en la zona de los 87k llevaron el precio a un mínimo de 79k eso en conjunto con un retiro de #BTC grande el corto plazo se adueña del grafico momentáneamente, si el corto plazo sigue testeando por debajo de la banda media de bollinguer en marco diario podría haber una vela sustanciosa a la baja 🔴, eso en conjunto con que las noticias macro económicas impacten en el corto plazo mucho mas de lo que debería, podría traducirse en una caída de 81k hasta el testeo de la banda media en marco semanal 75k.

Si el corto plazo se mantiene tal cual como esta y los rechazos y las subidas del precio servirán únicamente para precios atractivos de ventas mas no de compra, en pocas palabras todo lo que llevo a #BTC 60k a 78k - 82k ya no estaría presente, como en $BTW o $XRP
