TermMax doesn’t look like another DeFi lending protocol to me.

The interesting part is what happens when the easy assumption breaks.

Most lending protocols quietly depend on one thing: when a position becomes unsafe, someone somewhere will buy the collateral.

That works until it doesn’t.

If the collateral is a liquid token, fine. But what happens when it’s a yield-bearing asset, Pendle PT, structured position, or RWA token and the market suddenly has no depth?

You can’t liquidate liquidity that isn’t there.

@TermMax Physical Delivery Liquidation is an unusual answer.

After a 2-hour observation window, if external liquidators can’t settle the position, the protocol can move toward direct delivery of the underlying collateral to lenders.

That changes the solvency assumption.

The protocol doesn’t necessarily need to turn every distressed asset into cash immediately.

The lender can receive the asset itself, including its maturity structure.

Clean on paper.

But theory vs. production is where I stay cautious.

The architecture is modular, spanning market accounting, order books, routers, gearing tokens and vaults across multiple EVM chains. That gives TermMax a serious technical surface area, but also a serious security surface area.

Then there is TMX.

A fixed 1 billion supply and a community allocation can create useful coordination. But crypto has taught us the same lesson repeatedly: incentives can manufacture activity much faster than they manufacture durable demand.

So I’m neither impressed nor dismissive.

Fixed-rate markets are a real missing piece in DeFi.

Physical delivery is a genuinely interesting approach to illiquid collateral.

Now the harder question is whether the system survives real stress, real liquidations, and real users without leaning too heavily on incentives.

That’s the part worth watching.

That’s what makes this week interesting.

If BTC keeps failing to reclaim the higher resistance levels, I’d expect another slow grind lower rather than a sudden move.

The structure is already showing lower highs, and the recent rejection around $65K-$65.4K doesn’t exactly scream strength.

For me, the key area is still around $62.5K-$63K.

Lose that zone with confirmation, and the downtrend can accelerate.

Hold it, and we may simply get more boring chop before the next big move.

Right now, I’m not chasing anything.

The chart hasn’t given a reason to.

But if support breaks?
