My Trading Plan Is Actually Very Boring

I’ve realized something about trading.

The more complicated my plan becomes, the easier it is to break my own rules.

So I’m trying to keep it boring.

1. Find the range.

2. Mark the important levels.

3. Wait for confirmation.

4. Define the invalidation before entering.

5. Keep leverage under control.

6. Never risk money that I can’t afford to lose.

7. If the setup disappears, I leave.

8. If there is no setup, I wait.

That’s it.

I don’t need 20 indicators.

I don’t need to predict every candle.

And I definitely don’t need to trade just because I’m watching the chart.

Sometimes the most profitable decision is simply closing the app and waiting for the market to come to you.

Taking a Loss Isn’t the Same as Losing the Game

A losing trade doesn’t automatically mean the strategy failed.

Sometimes the setup is good.

The entry is reasonable.

The risk is controlled.

And the market simply goes the other way.

That’s trading.

The dangerous part is what happens after the loss.

Revenge trade.

Increase leverage.

Move the stop.

Add more because “it has to bounce.”

That’s how one losing trade can become a serious account problem.

My mindset is changing:

One trade is irrelevant.

What matters is whether I can survive enough trades to take advantage when a high-quality setup finally appears.

Take the loss if the setup is invalidated.

Close it.

Reset.

I Don’t Know Where Bitcoin Will Be Next Month

People constantly ask:

“Where do you think BTC is going next?”

Honestly?

I don’t know.

Maybe it goes higher.

Maybe it drops.

Maybe it spends weeks moving sideways and frustrates everyone.

That’s why I don’t want one prediction.

I want multiple scenarios.

Scenario 1: BTC breaks higher
→ follow the price action and reassess.

Scenario 2: BTC breaks lower
→ protect capital and wait for a new setup.

Scenario 3: BTC remains range-bound
→ patience. No need to manufacture a trade.

The market doesn’t care about my prediction.

So instead of trying to be right all the time, I’d rather have a plan for being wrong.
