کرپٹو مارکیٹ میں کبھی کبھی صرف چند سیکنڈز پوری کہانی بدل دیتے ہیں۔ اس بار ایک تجربہ کار شارٹ سیلر کے ساتھ کچھ ایسا ہی ہوا، جس نے پہلے کرپٹو مارکیٹ میں تقریباً 49 ملین ڈالر کا منافع کمایا، لیکن Ethereum کی ایک شارٹ پوزیشن نے اس کے منافع کا بڑا حصہ صرف 12 سیکنڈز میں ختم کر دیا۔
Hyperliquid پر “pension-usdt.eth” کے نام سے موجود والٹ تقریباً دو ماہ سے Ethereum کو شارٹ کر رہا تھا۔ اس کی پوزیشن تقریباً 50,000 ETH کی تھی۔ اس دوران ٹریڈر نے مارکیٹ میں کئی کامیاب شارٹ ٹریڈز کیں اور خاصا منافع بنایا۔
لیکن مارکیٹ ہمیشہ ایک ہی سمت میں نہیں چلتی۔
Ethereum کی قیمت میں اچانک تیزی آئی اور شارٹ پوزیشن پر نقصان بڑھتا گیا۔ آخرکار Hyperliquid نے اس پوزیشن کو زبردستی لیکویڈیٹ کر دیا۔ سب سے حیران کن بات یہ ہے کہ یہ پورا عمل صرف 12 سیکنڈز میں مکمل ہوا اور ٹریڈر کو تقریباً 24 ملین ڈالر کا نقصان برداشت کرنا پڑا۔
لیکویڈیشن کے دوران ہزاروں ETH مارکیٹ میں زبردستی خریدے گئے۔ جب کسی بڑی شارٹ پوزیشن کو بند کرنے کے لیے خریداری ہوتی ہے تو یہ قیمت کو مزید اوپر لے جا سکتی ہے۔ یہی کچھ یہاں بھی ہوا۔ ان 12 سیکنڈز میں Ether کی قیمت تقریباً 43 ڈالر بڑھ گئی۔
یہ واقعہ صرف ایک ٹریڈر کے نقصان کی کہانی نہیں بلکہ leveraged crypto trading کے خطرے کی واضح مثال بھی ہے۔ جب مارکیٹ آپ کے حق میں ہو تو leverage منافع کو تیزی سے بڑھا سکتا ہے، لیکن سمت تبدیل ہوتے ہی یہی leverage نقصان کو بھی کئی گنا کر دیتا ہے۔
اس دن مجموعی طور پر کرپٹو مارکیٹ میں تقریباً 2.74 ارب ڈالر کی short positions liquidate ہوئیں۔ یعنی صرف ایک ٹریڈر نہیں، بلکہ بڑی تعداد میں bearish traders کو اچانک تیزی نے متاثر کیا۔
اس واقعے سے سب سے اہم سبق یہی ہے کہ کرپٹو مارکیٹ میں کوئی بھی trade یقینی نہیں ہوتی۔ چاہے کسی ٹریڈر کا پچھلا ریکارڈ کتنا ہی اچھا کیوں نہ ہو، ایک غلط position، زیادہ leverage اور اچانک price move چند سیکنڈز میں بڑے نقصان کا سبب بن سکتے ہیں۔
کرپٹو میں منافع اہم ہے، لیکن risk management اس سے بھی زیادہ اہم ہے۔
