Since that peak, XRP has gone through several smaller rallies and pullbacks. Each recovery has struggled to regain the ground lost during the previous decline. The latest move now pushes toward a possible retest of the upper trendline of the broken channel, which currently sits around $1.20.
At $1.4292, XRP remains more than $0.22 above the trendline. This means the token still has several support levels to break before it reaches $1.20. However, the weekly chart shows that these levels could face growing pressure if sellers remain in control, as the Ichimoku Cloud shows the main areas bulls need to protect.
XRP Ichimoku Cloud Shows Resistance Ahead
The weekly Ichimoku Cloud gives XRP a bearish outlook. Looking toward the 2027 horizon, the Kumo turns pink and red as Senkou Span B moves above Senkou Span A, which creates a bearish cloud structure.
The cloud also indicates a major resistance area above XRP. This zone starts around $1.90 and stretches toward $2.50. XRP would need to break through this entire area before the broader trend could shift more clearly in favor of buyers.
For now, this resistance remains well above XRP’s current price. The more immediate concern for bulls is holding the support levels below $1.43 before they can focus on another recovery toward higher levels.
Senkou Span A Now the First Key Support
Senkou Span A currently stands at $1.4292, almost exactly matching XRP’s current price. This puts XRP directly at one of the most important support levels on the weekly chart.
Senkou Span A comes from the midpoint of the Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen and then projects 26 periods into the future. On the weekly chart, the calculation uses more than six months of price data, which makes the $1.4292 level an important reference for the current trend.
A decisive weekly close below $1.4292 would show that sellers have broken through this first layer of support. XRP could then move toward the next support area, increasing the risk of a deeper decline toward the $1.20 channel trendline.
Three XRP Ichimoku Levels Converge at $1.34
If XRP falls below Senkou Span A, the next major support sits at $1.3426. The Tenkan-sen, Kijun-sen, and Senkou Span B all currently meet at this same price, and this creates a strong support cluster.
The Tenkan-sen, or Conversion Line, tracks the midpoint of the previous nine weekly candles and reflects shorter-term price momentum. The Kijun-sen, or Base Line, uses 26 periods and gives a wider view of the medium-term trend. Both currently hold at $1.3426.
Senkou Span B also sits at $1.3426. Unlike the Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen, Span B uses 52 periods and projects its reading 26 weeks ahead. As a result, it reflects nearly a full year of weekly price history.
A weekly close below $1.3426 would mark a more serious break in XRP’s structure. Such a move could send the price toward the $1.20 channel trendline. On the other hand, holding above $1.3426 would give bulls a base from which they could try to start another recovery.
XRP RSI Shows Momentum Is Losing Strength
XRP’s weekly Relative Strength Index also shows weaker momentum. The RSI currently stands at 52.20, keeping it just above the neutral 50 level, but the indicator continues to move lower.
The RSI signal line sits at 44.76. If the main RSI continues to fall, it could cross below the signal line and add to the bearish pressure. While an RSI above 50 generally shows a bullish momentum reading, the falling trend shows that buyers are losing some of their advantage.
A move below 50 would provide another warning that sellers are gaining control. If the RSI then falls toward the oversold area near 30, it would point to a much deeper decline in weekly momentum.
