⚡ $500 MILLION USDC JUST HIT SOLANA! 🚀
Circle has minted 500 million $USDC on Solana across two transactions, with 250 million USDC created in each transaction. The activity was recorded around September 25–26, 2026.
This comes as Solana’s stablecoin ecosystem is already showing strong growth. Recent data put Solana’s total stablecoin supply at a new all-time high of roughly $17.3 billion.
💵 Why does this matter?
More USDC liquidity can provide additional capital for:
• DeFi and decentralized exchanges
• On-chain trading and settlement
• Cross-border payments
• Consumer payment applications
• Institutional financial activity
Circle itself highlights Solana’s speed and low transaction costs as reasons developers use USDC on the network for financial services, high-frequency trading and payments.
But one important point: a USDC mint does not automatically mean $500M has flowed directly into SOL or that SOL's price must rise. The newly issued stablecoins can be used across many applications and markets.
