Samsung announced that USDC transfers are coming to Samsung Wallet in the last week of October, across 82 million Galaxy devices in the US. No separate crypto app, no private keys to manage, no Samsung transfer fee.
Under the hood: Solana and Sui handle the rails, Bastion runs the accounts, Coinbase Prime custodies the funds. Users can send to crypto wallets abroad or straight to bank accounts in 60+ countries, with recipients getting local currency. Samsung also hinted that online and in-store stablecoin payments could be next.
Two caveats: that 82 million counts compatible devices, not activations. And international bank transfers carry their own fees. But this is the biggest phone maker on earth shipping stablecoin rails by default. Mass adoption was never going to come from app downloads. It comes from the phone already in your pocket.
Is this the moment stablecoins quietly go mainstream, or will most users just ignore it? 👇
Evernorth's $XRP treasury starts trading on Nasdaq today under the ticker XRPN, putting a corporate XRP balance-sheet bet in front of mainstream equity investors for the first time.
The token itself is having a rough session, hovering near $1.41 and down about 4.6% in 24h, so the debut lands on a shaky tape. Still, this extends the DAT playbook (the MicroStrategy model) beyond BTC and ETH into large-cap altcoins, and now Wall Street gets one-click XRP exposure without ever touching a crypto exchange.
The first DAT wave was about Bitcoin on balance sheets. The second wave will be about which altcoin treasuries the market is actually willing to pay a premium for.
Is XRP the right asset for that experiment, or just the most liquid one? 👇
🚨 IS THE SIGNATURE ALGORITHM BEHIND YOUR COINS AT RISK? ‼️
Ethereum researcher Justin Drake just issued a warning that should make every holder stop and think. In an Oct. 7 post, he urged major crypto holders to prepare for a possible failure of ECDSA, the signature scheme that secures almost every $BTC and $ETH wallet in existence, and said the risk could emerge within months.
This is not a doom call, but it is the kind of low-probability, high-impact scenario nobody prices in until it is too late. With fear & greed at 64 (Greed) and BTC holding around 82.8K USDT, complacency is running high right when a serious researcher says to pay attention.
Are you doing anything about quantum-resistant security, or is this a tomorrow problem? 👇
