📖 Glossary: MAKER vs TAKER

Every order you place falls into one of two roles.

🟢 Maker: you place a limit order that doesn't fill right away. It sits on the order book and adds liquidity until someone trades against it.

🔴 Taker: your order fills instantly against an order already on the book. Market orders are always taker. A limit order priced through the book fills as taker too.

Why it matters:
• Taker fees are usually higher than maker fees
• Over hundreds of trades that gap adds up
• Taker fills can also slip on a thin order book

If you hit "Market" on every trade, you pay the taker rate every single time.
