Recent research suggests that managing damage to the blood-brain barrier might offer a new way to approach Alzheimer's disease. A newly published study has identified that an accumulation of fibronectin is connected to barrier deterioration linked with APOE4. During tests using experimental models, researchers found that bringing down fibronectin levels successfully returned the barrier to its proper function.
