$BTC

What if Bitcoin’s next major move is not another rally, but a collapse that most investors are simply not prepared for? 👀

A warning from Bloomberg Intelligence strategist Mike McGlone is getting attention across the crypto market. On October 16, he raised the possibility that Bitcoin could move toward $10,000 if the US stock market suffers a 20% decline. This is not a confirmed prediction, but it is a scenario worth understanding.

📉 WHY IS THE $10K TARGET BACK IN THE SPOTLIGHT?

Bitcoin has already experienced a major correction from its 2025 peak. McGlone’s argument goes beyond crypto itself. He believes Bitcoin remains closely connected to broader financial markets, meaning weakness in US stocks could create another wave of selling across risk assets.

There are three factors I would watch closely:

• US stock market: A 20% correction could damage investor confidence and push capital away from risky assets.

• Interest rates and bond yields: If financial conditions tighten further, investors may become less willing to hold volatile assets like Bitcoin.

• Market sentiment: When fear takes control, leveraged traders can face liquidations, creating additional selling pressure.

If these factors combine, the downside could become much more serious than an ordinary correction.

⚠️ BUT HERE IS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY

I would not blindly accept the $10,000 target either.

CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju has challenged this extremely bearish outlook, pointing to institutional participation, Bitcoin ETF inflows and corporate holdings as reasons the market could find support at substantially higher levels. Other analysts also disagree on whether Bitcoin is entering a prolonged bear market or preparing for another recovery.

That disagreement matters. One strategist sees a possible path toward $10K, while others believe the market has stronger underlying support.

🧠 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR BITCOIN HOLDERS?

In my view, the most important question is not whether Bitcoin will definitely reach $10,000. It is whether the wider financial market is showing signs of serious stress.

I would watch the Nasdaq, the S&P 500, bond yields, ETF flows and Bitcoin’s reaction to major support levels. If stocks weaken sharply while Bitcoin continues making lower lows, the bearish argument becomes harder to ignore.

But if institutional demand remains strong and Bitcoin stabilizes, the $10K scenario may remain an extreme prediction rather than reality.

My final take: This is a warning, not a guarantee. Panic can be expensive, but ignoring macroeconomic risks can be even more dangerous. I would rather follow the evidence than trade based on a headline.

🔥 Now I want to know your opinion:

Do you think Bitcoin could really fall to $10,000 in this cycle, or is this an overly bearish prediction?

👇 Comment your target: $10K, $30K, $50K, or a new all-time high!
