Most traders are still treating DeFi like it's 2022. I think they're about to be very surprised. While I was doing on bitget, found out the market loves narratives. The smart money loves cash flows. And for the first time in a while, DeFi is starting to offer both.
For the first time in years, DeFi is getting something it desperately lacked:
Regulatory clarity.
The SEC's proposed crypto framework isn't just another headline. If implemented, it reduces one of the biggest risks that kept institutions on the sidelines.
Now combine that with what is already happening under the hood:
• $UNI pushing deeper into fee-based value capture • $AAVE continuing to dominate DeFi lending • $LDO benefiting from Ethereum's staking growth • $ETH sitting at the center of the entire ecosystem
This is why I'm paying attention, Not because prices are moving But because the fundamentals are improving while sentiment is still catching up and I will trading UNI and ETH on bitget.
If this rotation continues, which do you think outperforms from here. Curious to hear what everyone's watching.👇
What if the biggest $XRP rally of this cycle isn't being driven by traders but by Washington?
For years, XRP moved on court headlines. Now it's moving on something much bigger: regulation, policy, and a seat at the table of the future financial system.
For years, crypto has been treated like an outsider to traditional finance. This week felt different.
For traders looking to react quickly to these developments, I've been tracking the move on Bitget where XRP liquidity has been active throughout the news cycle.
President Trump sat down with leaders from Ripple, Chainlink, Coinbase, Nasdaq, Kraken, ICE, and regulators to discuss how crypto fits into the future of the US financial system. That's not a meme headline. That's infrastructure being discussed at the highest level.
That's why I'm watching $XRP closely.
If the CLARITY Act moves forward and regulatory uncertainty continues to fade, XRP could be one of the biggest beneficiaries. The market seems to be pricing that in already, with $XRP gaining double digits as volume surged across exchanges.
What caught my attention isn't the pump itself.
It's that XRP is gradually shifting from a "legal battle" narrative to a "financial infrastructure" narrative.
Whether you're bullish or bearish, that's a major change in how the market views the asset.
Personally, I'm keeping an eye on the September 15 CLARITY Act timeline because that may matter more than any short-term price candle.
The real question isn't whether XRP pumped today.
It's whether the market is beginning to price in what crypto regulation could look like over the next few years.
For years, one of the biggest criticisms of $UNI was simple: Uniswap generates billions in trading volume but what does that actually do for UNI holders?
While tracking $UNI on Bitget recently, that question came back to mind. This time, though, I think the answer is starting to change. The recent governance proposals don't just introduce more protocol fees, they expand them to Uniswap v4 and Robinhood Chain, meaning more protocol activity can eventually support UNI burns. That's a meaningful shift.
Most traders focus on TVL or daily volume. I'm paying closer attention to how much of that activity is actually captured by the token.
If trading keeps increasing while supply is gradually reduced through burns, UNI starts looking less like a governance token and more like an asset that's directly tied to the protocol's economic engine.
That also explains why I'm watching the recent move more closely. Price is climbing, trading volume is strengthening, and this time there's a fundamental catalyst behind it not just another DeFi narrative making the rounds as $ETH is also approaching $2000.
I'm keeping $UNI on my watchlist, but instead of chasing the breakout, I'll be watching whether protocol activity and burn data continue to support the thesis.
Because in DeFi, volume gets attention but sustainable value comes from turning protocol usage into value for the token itself.
🔴 $BTC has broken out of the ascending triangle with strong volume, signaling bullish momentum in the market. It is now retesting the breakout level, which is a key area for confirmation.
The Ichimoku cloud continues to act as solid support, reinforcing the current structure. A successful hold at this level could trigger a sustained upward rally in the market.
I've noticed something interesting with $SOL DeFi lately. When a protocol announces a new feature, the first reaction is usually a price spike. A week later, everyone's moved on because nothing actually changed for the token.
$MET feels a bit different. Before this update, Meteora's liquidity and trading activity could grow without giving many traders a compelling reason to hold MET long term. You could simply use the protocol and move on.
The new Referral Staking Program starts changing that equation. I've added $MET to my Bitget watchlist, but I'm not buying because of the announcement alone.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be watching whether:
🔸more MET gets staked after the program launch, 🔸trading volume on Meteora stays elevated, 🔸and whether the market starts pricing the staking utility as something more than short-term news.
Now there's a stronger incentive to accumulate and stake MET instead of treating it as a token you only trade. If more users choose to lock their tokens while activity on Meteora continues to grow, that could reduce the amount of MET actively circulating on the market.
That's the metric I'll be watching, not just today's price.
What also gives me confidence is that this isn't happening on a protocol that's struggling for relevance. Meteora is already one of Solana's major liquidity venues, so the staking model is being introduced after the protocol has built real usage, not before.
To me, that's an important difference. Too many projects launch token utilities hoping users will come later. Meteora already has users; now it's trying to strengthen the token's role within that activity.
If those three things line up, I think the move has a stronger foundation than most DeFi narrative pumps.
