China’s central bank just made it 22 straight months of gold buying. the PBoC added 20.2 tonnes in August, the most since October 2023, and official reserves are now 2,387 tonnes. that breaks the old 18-month streak. World Gold Council has gold at about 9% of China’s FX reserves, up from 8% in July. the 2026 pace sped up hard. January was about 1 tonne. August was 20. that is the 17x the print is pointing at. Chinese $XAUt ETFs added another 11 tonnes in August. in the same stretch, China’s US Treasury holdings fell to $618 billion, an 18-year low, down from a peak above $1.3 trillion. 89% of central banks in the WGC survey still expect global gold reserves to rise. the catch is what is reported. these are official tonnes. they can lag what is bought through other channels. gold also pulled back from the $5,000 area on this chart even while the PBoC kept adding. so Beijing is still swapping Treasuries for bullion. that bid is real. it is a reserve story, not a signal that bitcoin has to tag $100,000 next week. #BTC Price Analysis# #Bitcoin Price Prediction: What is Bitcoins next move?# $BTC $XAUt
