✊ SEC’s 2027 Review Priorities

The SEC’s inspections division named tokenization, market infrastructure and “superintelligence” among its 2027 priorities. The plan covers more than 34,000 market participants, including advisers, brokers, funds and clearing organizations.

It also targets cybersecurity, client data protection, private funds and lending, complex strategies, and safeguards for retail investors exposed to risky, illiquid products. The SEC may adjust its focus as markets change.
