Ethereum (ETH) Founder Buterin Invested in This Crypto Project!
Blockchain-based betting site Polymarket announced today that it has raised $70 million in investment in two financing rounds with the participation of #Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
In the Series B financing round in which Buterin participated, Eventbrite co-founder Kevin Hartz, crypto venture fund Dragonfly and Founders Fund, co-founded by billionaire Peter Thiel, also invested.
Prior to this, they also completed a $25 million Series A financing round in which Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia participated, Polymarket said in a press release.
Polymarket's founder, Shayne Coplan, said the following in his recent statement:
“Market-based predictions will inevitably become an integral part of the way we follow the news and find the truth.
“Many people rely on Polymarket to keep up with important current events.”
Ethereum founder Buterin previously participated in a 2018 seed funding round for StarkWare, creators of Ethereum scaling solution #Starknet (STRK).
Last year, the Ethereum co-founder also participated in a seed funding round for Nocturne, a protocol that enables private accounts on Ethereum.
