Avalanche founder Emin Gün Sirer warned that AI could uncover security flaws in the XRP Ledger before widely used cryptography becomes obsolete. Sirer argued that attackers could exploit undetected software bugs to steal billions. However, Sirer identified no unpatched XRP Ledger vulnerability and demonstrated no AI attack on the network. Developers released an emergency software update on September 25, initially providing security fixes without source code. The team promised to publish the code and a technical retrospective.
