According to Foresight News, El Salvador's National Bitcoin Office (ONBTC) has launched its own mempool space to track its Bitcoin treasury assets. As of May 13, El Salvador holds 5,748.76 Bitcoins.
In a previous report by Foresight News, it was revealed that El Salvador began investing in Bitcoin on November 18, 2022, purchasing one Bitcoin daily. In March 2024, El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele announced via Twitter that this practice would continue until Bitcoin could no longer be purchased with fiat currency.
