US STAGFLATION FEARS ARE BACK
The latest US economic data just gave the Fed another serious headache.
PCE inflation came in at 3.7%, above the 3.6% expected, and remains far above the Fed’s 2% target.
At the same time, Q2 GDP growth was confirmed at just 1.5%, down from 2.1% in Q1.
That’s the uncomfortable mix markets don’t want to see:
🔥 Inflation is staying hot
🐌 Economic growth is slowing
🏦 And the Fed is stuck in the middle
If the Fed raises rates to fight inflation, it risks putting even more pressure on growth.

Two things happened this week that changed how I'm thinking.
The first big one was the Treasury doubling its bond buybacks. This is huge for market liquidity, imo.
When the government buys back more bonds, it injects cash into the financial system. That cash often finds its way into riskier assets.
We're already seeing the effect. $BTC is up nice, sitting at $68204.57 right now, and $ETH jumped almost 9.5% to $2092.04.
Even $SOL and other crypto stocks climbed. It's a clear signal that more liquidity helps crypto pump.
This move by the Treasury

was thinking about @Dusk ’s consensus through a simple situation.
Imagine two people taking different routes to the same destination. One starts first but gets delayed. The other starts later and arrives first.
Do you automatically decide the second route was the correct one?
That’s what made Dusk’s fork-resolution design interesting to me.
Succinct Attestation works through iterations. If one iteration fails, the protocol can move forward. But if multiple iterations eventually produce valid candidates, Dusk gives priority to the lowest iteration.
So if iteration 2 and iteration 5 both reach quorum, iteration 5 doesn’t simply win because it finished later but successfully.
The protocol cares about where the candidate appeared in the consensus

Too many people try to over-interpret “what does it mean?”
I was testing Trust Wallet today. And saw too many meme coins in the wallet clustering the interface, to the point it was hard for me to find BNB, so I tried to burn some tokens. Even that caused many community discussions.
Then I realized that I will never be able to “clean out” meme coins on the address. The more I burn them, the more people will send meme coins to the address.
The natural transparency of the blockchain means any interaction with this address will be over-interpreted by the community.
I even thought of requesting the Trust Wallet team to implement an “Ignore Coin” feature to avoid the clutter, but that feature will not be needed by 99.99% of people.
