El PPI de agosto en EEUU subió menos de lo esperado, pero la lectura interanual llegó a 5.4%. ¿Por qué importa esto para cripto?
El PPI (índice de precios al productor) mide la inflación en el eslabón anterior al consumidor. Si los productores pagan más por insumos, tarde o temprano eso se traslada al consumidor final (IPC). Un PPI que sube, aunque sea menos de lo esperado, mantiene la presión inflacionaria en el radar de la Fed.
Y cuando la Fed tiene que seguir con tasas altas (o no bajarlas tan rápido), los activos de riesgo —cripto incluida— sufren. El capital busca refugio en bonos, dólar, y sale de especulación.
Hoy, además, el bono del Tesoro a 10 años tocó máximos desde noviembre de 2023. Eso es competencia directa para Bitcoin: si podés sacar 4.5% anual sin riesgo en un bono, ¿para qué meterte en volatilidad?
Bitcoin cayó 2% en el día, tocó 76.7K y rebotó a 78.5K. Pero el sesgo técnico sigue bajista en cinco de seis temporalidades. El dato macro no ayuda: mientras la inflación no ceda de verdad, la presión vendedora sigue siendo la norma.
