$351.6M moved out of Bitget wallets. $ETH , $USDT and other major assets were involved. But before the timeline turns into panic, here’s what’s actually confirmed. Bitget says unauthorized transfers hit parts of its hot and warm-wallet infrastructure on Sept. 24. On-chain activity showed assets including ETH, USDT, USDC, XRP, BNB and AVAX being moved, with some stolen USDT/USDT0 later swapped into ETH. Bitget temporarily paused withdrawals while the investigation continues, but says its cold wallets remain secure, customer balances remain accurate, and trading and deposits are still operational. Its User Protection Fund reportedly holds more than $464M, exceeding the estimated $351.6M loss. That part is still being investigated. Bitget has said the attack involved a compromised backend wallet system that was used to spoof transaction information and trigger authorization, while investigators are examining suspected North Korean links. I’ve been around the Bitget ecosystem as both a user and Builder, don’t amplify rumors before the full investigation is out.
