Trading activity in South Korea’s single-stock leveraged ETFs has fallen sharply as regulators tighten rules and retail investors become more cautious.
📉 The Numbers
According to Korea Exchange data reported on August 26, combined daily turnover for 16 leveraged and inverse 2X ETFs linked to Samsung Electronics and SK hynix had fallen to about ₩842.9 billion.
That represents a drop of more than 90% from the trading levels seen shortly after these products launched.
