It seems while $BTC traders are evaluating risks of buying at such a high price, $ETH shows a nice dynamics of growth. Being solidly far from its ATH, $ETH has larger capacity for relatively safe growth.

$ETH and $TON are growing together with $BTC . I think traders diversify their portfolios this time because BTC alone is high risk.

I don’t know where that optimism about $BTC “new all time high” comes from. I see a pretty stable downtrend. Betting on another push by 5-10% seems too risky. That’s why we observe an indecisiveness during the last couple of days. I expect the downtrend to continue because there are no major signals telling such a high price is reasonable in a long run and that it can serve as a new base for bull run. I’d look at $ETH or promising #altcoins‬ like $TON which have a capacity for growth. DYOR and good luck!

I’m confused. Which rumors should I trust more? Those saying US government will liquidate loads of $BTC soon and the price will fall OR those saying BTC price will raise even higher than today after the same US government fix some regulations. The one contradicts the other. If they fix the regulations, then BTC price should be fine, but if its price is fine, why bother selling it? I think BTC is dangerously close to its all time high. It’s a danger zone for buyers and sweet spot for sellers. The idea to take profit and sell will be more seductive the closer the current price is to all time high. In this circumstances I’ll stay away from BTC. Other coins like $ETH or even $TON are less risky to enter today. I see a potential for TON to gain 10-20% which is great. Hope patience will be rewarded. Good luck!

JPMorgan analysts now expect bullish in Bitcoin

At JPMorgan, one of the world's largest investment banks, analysts stated that they expect increases in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for 2025. In their latest reports, experts put forward a total of 5 reasons for the increases in the coming period.

Despite the rise in Bitcoin in 2024, JPMorgan analysts, who published cautious reports, seem to have changed their mind. In the latest reports of analysts led by manager Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, it was stated that increases are expected in 2025. Analysts also proposed a number of factors for possible increases.

In the report, it was said that "We think the performance of digital assets in 2025 will be upward" and the factors that created expectations were listed as follows:

Depreciation purchases: The first item put forward by analysts was "depreciation purchases". As it is known, the recent depreciation of the currencies of countries around the world has caused investors to turn to assets such as Bitcoin and gold with limited supply. Here, JPMorgan analysts stated that they think this situation will continue in 2025 due to events that triggered the loss of value, such as geopolitical tensions.

Possible Trump victory: The US elections were also one of the items that analysts emphasized. However, analysts wrote that they expect a rise in cryptocurrencies not only because of Trump's support for Bitcoin, but also because he will increase tariffs due to geopolitical tensions. In addition, it was also stated that more Fed interest rate hikes are expected during the Trump period.

Morgan Stanley effect: As it is known, Morgan Stanley gave investment advisors, also known as "wire house", "permission to recommend Bitcoin" in the past months. It was stated that these consultants, who have the ability to reach crowds and small investors, will also have the effect of increasing the price.

Mt. Gox, FTX, Genesis, German government: In the report, Genesis and Mt, which put great pressure on the price of Bitcoin in the summer. It was written that Gox bankruptcy sales/distributions and German government sales have now ended. Mt. Although Gox's distributions are not finished yet, it can be stated that it has seriously decreased. The report also noted that FTX's cash distributions will be made at the end of 2024 or at the beginning of 2025 at the latest, which may push investors who receive money back to the market.

Fixed coin regulations: JPMorgan analysts predict that the fixed coin regulations, which are currently pending in the USA, will also be completed in 2025. Stating that as soon as the stable coin regulations arrive, the adoption of cryptocurrencies will increase significantly, analysts wrote that this will also have a positive effect on prices.
The concept of stable coins looks weird to me. First, the name of the concept is misleading. “Stable” should mean something that preserves its purchase power at the same level over a long period of time, preferably over decades. For example, the true stable coin should allow me to buy a house, a car or a basket of groceries in 2024 or in 2054 for the same amount of coins. That’s what stability means. You got a certain amount of stable coins and you can be sure its purchase power will be unchanged in 30-50 years. Back to our reality. What we call “stable” coins today should be called “fiat” coins. That’s what it truly is. Bounded to fiat money and inherits their problems, like inflation. In 20 years from now USD will loose around 50% of its purchase value just because of inflation alone. That’s not a definition of stability. Definitions matter, that’s what I’m saying :) Btw, do real stable coins exist? What asset would you buy to be sure it will preserve its value in decades?

$HMSTR (Hamster coin) is annoying. With such crazy scale of marketing it looks like short term pump and dump project. I personally prefer projects with slow and steady growth and meaningful purpose.

The recent spike of $BTC price above 67000 looks temporal. I think it’s dangerous to buy at such a high price. On the other hand alternatives like $ETH and $TON seems have a higher potential for growth.
