Strategy or Lottery? The difference between betting and building.
Sometimes we think that to invest intelligently we need thousands of dollars, but the reality is that the strategy is the same whether you have $10, $50, or $100. The most common mistake is not the amount, but the lack of balance.
Imagine you have $20 to start today. If you put it all in a coin that just came out because you saw a video saying it would go up x100, you're playing the lottery, not investing. If that coin drops by 50%, now you only have $10 and a feeling of defeat that will make you want to quit.
On the other hand, look at it this way, you can put $10 in Bitcoin (which is the foundation of the whole market), using DCA, $6 in a solid coin, and leave those final $4 for that risky project you like.
What do you gain from this?
If the risky coin goes wrong, your portfolio doesn't get destroyed. You still have the backing of the larger projects that, over time, tend to recover. It's not about how much money you have, but how you protect it. In this market, the one who survives is the one who understands that it's better to earn little by little than to lose everything in one single move.
