Most people don't lose money in futures because of bad entries.

They lose because they never calculate their risk.

After 7 years in crypto, this is the biggest mistake I've seen.

• Entry: $1,800
• Stop Loss: $1,750 (-2.78%)
• TP1: $1,900 (+5.56%)
• TP2: $2,000 (+11.11%)

Now imagine you open a $100 futures trade.

Many people ask: "Which leverage should I use?"

❌ Wrong mindset: "My favorite influencer posted it, so I'll use 20x or 50x."

✅ Right mindset: First decide how much you're willing to lose.

Let's say your maximum risk is $25.

Since the stop loss is 2.78% away, your position should be sized so that a 2.78% move equals about $25.

That works out to roughly 9x leverage.

With a $100 margin:
• At 9x leverage, if SL hits → Loss $25
• TP1 (+5.56%) → Profit $50
• TP2 (+11.11%) → Profit $100

That's how you choose leverage—not by guessing.

One more mistake...

When TP1 or TP2 is hit, don't let a winning trade turn into a loser.

✅ Take partial profits.
✅ Move your stop loss to breakeven (or into profit) once the trade is moving in your favor.

Protect your capital first.

In futures trading, risk management makes you profitable—not leverage.
