Binance continues to direct the crypto market with the decisions it makes. While the products listed by Binance are experiencing sharp increases, the altcoins it has listed are experiencing a collapse.
Although Binance has not shared a delist announcement recently, it has removed many altcoins from its platform in recent months. Some of Binance's announcements may help us identify products that will not be delisted.
The popular exchange announced today that it will support network upgrade and hardfork on altcoins named Harmony (ONE) and IoTeX (IOTX). Binance does not seem to be planning to delist these products anytime soon.
Binance included the following words in the announcement text it shared as of today:
“BINANCE WILL SUPPORT HARMONY (ONE) AND IOTEX (IOTX) NETWORK UPGRADES AND HARD FORKS”
“Harmony (ONE) network upgrade and hard fork will occur at Harmony block height 44,630,016 or approximately 2023-07-20 05:51 (UTC). Deposits and withdrawals with ONE will be suspended starting approximately 2023-07-20 05:00 (UTC).”
The IoTeX (IOTX) network upgrade and hard fork will occur at IoTeX block height 24,838,201 or approximately 23:00 (UTC) on 2023-07-20. IOTX deposits and withdrawals will be suspended starting approximately 2023-07-20 22:00 (UTC).
ONE or IOTX trading will not be affected during network upgrades and hard forks.
Binance will fulfill all relevant technical requirements for all users holding ONE and IOTX in their Binance accounts.
armony (ONE) and IoTeX (IOTX) network upgrades and hard forks do not result in the creation of new tokens.
Once we consider the upgraded networks to be stable, we will reopen deposits and withdrawals for ONE and IOTX, but will not notify users with a new announcement.
Altcoins named Harmony (ONE) and IoTeX (IOTX) did not experience any significant movement due to this announcement by Binance.
