According to Techub News, at Bitcoin Devcon, a Bitcoin Asia-derived hackathon event hosted by UTXO Management, co-hosted by Satoshi Lab, organized by Techub News, and supported by Yakihonne and Web3port, ICP senior research scientist Aisling Connolly said that as the ecosystem becomes increasingly complex, security issues become particularly prominent because rapid development may lead to neglect of security. It is expected that major security incidents may occur in the next six months, resulting in customer losses and tragic consequences.
Nevertheless, Aisling Connolly also sees a positive side, that new technologies and user-friendly experiences are attracting more people into the field, including researchers and technical experts. This could make cryptocurrency protocols more secure and efficient while improving the developer experience.
