When I was a freshman, I entered the cryptocurrency circle with a capital of 5,000 yuan. In a blink of an eye, I have come to my senior year, and my holdings have swelled to 1 million yuan.
In 2021, I began to try to speculate in altcoins, but the 519 crash caused me to suffer heavy losses, and my 3,000 yuan capital was directly gone. I tried to recover my losses by purchasing a coinlist account to participate in the public offering, but I didn't expect the seller to run away and I lost another 2,000 yuan. In the six months since I entered the cryptocurrency circle, I have been collecting various information and working hard on research every day, but the result is a series of losses. Not only did I not make money, but my capital became less and less.
The turning point was in September. I noticed the airdrop activity of dydx, a decentralized contract platform, with a single number value of up to 100,000 yuan, which gave me an opportunity to make money. So, I decided to turn to airdrops. Because of the lack of capital at the time, I did not dare to participate in the Ethereum mainnet project, and could only choose some low-cost airdrop projects. In December, I successfully won a 5,000 yuan airdrop reward because I said a few words in Lyra's Discord group. This year, although I barely broke even, I also delayed my studies.
In the first three months of 2022, I continued to focus on airdrops and participated in multiple projects such as matcha, slingshot, clipper, and superfluid. These projects have not yet issued airdrops, but I have not given up. In April, I ushered in an important opportunity-the airdrop of Ethereum's second-layer protocol Optimism. I successfully obtained 2,496 OP tokens and later sold them for 20,000 yuan, with a cost of only 50 US dollars. This successful airdrop experience has made me more determined to develop in the direction of airdrops.
During the summer vacation, I actively participated in various interactive projects such as zksync, zigzag, argent, rabbit, safe, etc. while learning to drive. In October, I successfully received the airdrop of the layer1 project aptos based on the move language developed by the Facebook team and sold it for 7,000 yuan. However, due to negligence, I missed the other four airdrop numbers that were eligible for collection, which made me very upset.
At the end of February 2023, I successfully obtained the airdropped ZZ tokens from the exchange Zigzag on ZkSync 1.0 and sold them for 40,000 yuan.In mid-March, the airdrop of Arbitrum also arrived as scheduled. After receiving the airdrop, I sold all of them and made 160,000 yuan. These successful airdrop experiences have made me more actively participate in various projects.
In April, I used the money I earned to participate in the interaction of LayerZero and the activities of Argent Wallet on Starknet, and successfully opened 200 accounts. In May, Sui announced its listing and opened a public offering. I obtained ten whitelist qualifications and earned 100,000 yuan. So far, I have earned 300,000 yuan, and the whole process took a little more than two years.
In the second half of the year, I continued to consolidate my position on LayerZero and Starknet and opened a new ZKSync account. In order to get more airdrop opportunities, I spent most of my time every day on airdrops, and the cost of investment reached 50,000 yuan. Although the time cost and money cost are very high, I believe it is worth it.
On November 30, Starknet Foundation announced that it would take a snapshot. On Valentine's Day, February 14, 2024, I had an unexpected surprise-Starknet announced the results of the airdrop. Because the balance of some accounts was less than 0.005 eth, I lost the airdrop qualification of 150 accounts, but the remaining 50 accounts brought me a generous return of 45,000 strk tokens. The current value of these tokens has reached 680,000 yuan.
It is March 18, 2024, and I have been in the cryptocurrency circle for three years. Starting from the initial capital of 5,000 yuan, I finally made my first million.
