According to the annual report for the 2022, the total assets of the US SEC have increased from $12.2 billion to 14.1 billion, an increase of $1.9 billion, and accounts receivable have increased by $1.5 billion, most of which are composed of confiscated income.
In total, the SEC brought 760 enforcement actions in fiscal year 2022, a 9% increase from the previous year. These included 462 new or "independent" enforcement actions and ordered payments totaling $6.439 billion, the highest in SEC history and up from $3.852 billion in 2021.
