According to TechFlow, BNB Chain plans to upgrade the network at block height 29020050, which is expected to arrive at 5:30 am on June 12th, Beijing time.

The Luban hard fork will include three proposals: BEP-126, BEP-174, and BEP-221, aiming to create a faster and more secure network for users.

Among them, BEP-126 introduces the "Fast Finality" mechanism, which makes it impossible to reverse once a block is finalized on the network, thereby reducing the possibility of chain reorganization.

BEP-174 proposes “Cross-chain Relay Management” to mitigate potential security issues in BBSC Bridge and introduce “managers” for relayers selected by on-chain governance.

Finally, BEP-221 proposes the “CometBFT light block verification” system, which recommends adding new contracts to blockchains using CometBFT technology in order to verify specific blocks from other compatible blockchains and enable data transfer between these blockchains, such as the storage-focused BNB Greenfield and BNB Chain.
