Bitcoin Market Cap Soars to $1.4 Trillion, Overtaking Silver's

Bitcoin jumped to an all-time high on Monday's ATH, driven by continued positive stimulus from spot ETFs and approval of BTC and ETH ETNs.

Bitcoin continues to rise through the ranks of top assets by market capitalization, overtaking silver to become the eighth most valuable asset in the world.

With a 4% advance to an all-time high of more than $72,000 in the morning hours of US trading, the valuation of bitcoin (BTC) soared to $1.42 trillion, above that of the splinter at $1.387 billion, according to CompaniesMarketCap.

At the beginning of this historic bull run, bitcoin surpassed the market capitalization of Meta (formerly known as Facebook), which now stands at $1.2 trillion.

Next in bitcoin's sights is the seventh most valuable asset in the world, Alphabet, Google's parent company, whose current valuation is just $1.7 trillion.

Some bitcoin bulls have their sights set on the world's most valuable asset: gold and its $14.7 trillion market capitalization. To get there, bitcoin would have to multiply by more than 10, or exceed $720,000 per token.
