There are currently 1000 trillion SHIB (Shiba Inu) coins in circulation. Initially, 500 trillion were allocated to the founder's Ethereum (ETH) address, of which 90% were burned and 10% were given away. This leaves approximately 500 trillion SHIB coins still in circulation, which some argue is too high a number for the coin to reach a value of 0.01 per coin.
The developers do not have control over the remaining coins, making it challenging to implement large-scale burns. While some coins have been burned by the developers, the impact is minimal considering the vast number of coins in circulation.
To reduce the total number of coins and potentially increase the value per coin, suggestions include earning coins through activities like leading or staking and subsequently burning them. Additionally, implementing burns on staking profit coins and transaction fees could further reduce the circulating supply.
Overall, there is a consensus that reducing the total number of coins to around 50 trillion or even lower would be beneficial. However, achieving this goal may require coordinated efforts from the community, such as burning a percentage of their coins and implementing burns on staking profits and transaction fees.
