TIA weakening assessment invalidated: two consecutive closes back above 0.633 (Oct. 21 afternoon)

It was still under pressure this morning, then turned around completely in the afternoon—this is the most noteworthy move in today’s $TIA .

First, the closes—the confirmation I’ve been waiting for:
· From 08:00 to 13:00, six consecutive 1h candles closed below 0.6204, with a low of 0.6062; the weakening assessment remained in effect throughout.
· The 14:00 candle closed at 0.6331, with about 438,000 USDT in volume—roughly 1.9 times the 13:00 volume.
· The 15:00 candle then closed at 0.6375, with about 442,000 USDT in volume and an intraday high of 0.6436.

Two consecutive closes above 0.633 fulfilled my previously defined condition for “invalidating the weakening assessment.” The invalidation is now confirmed. From the intraday low of 0.6062 to the 15:00 close, the rebound was about +5.2%.

But to be clear: spot was around 0.6334 before publication, back to fluctuating around the 0.633 level, and the 16:00 candle has not closed yet. The invalidation is confirmed, but that doesn’t mean the level is safely holding.

Funding isn’t extreme: OKX perpetual funding was about -0.0082%, and open interest was around $6.77 million. Neither longs nor shorts are crowded, so this move wasn’t driven by a short squeeze. As for catalysts, I couldn’t find any clear new news about $TIA today. The afternoon move coincided with BTC’s rise on increased volume (BTC’s 15:00 volume was about 67.53 million USDT, and it closed at 83,154, still below 83,439). The Oct. 30–31 unlock is a longer-term factor, not today’s trigger.

My view: invalidating the weakening assessment ≠ blindly chasing longs. First, watch whether the 16:00 candle and tonight’s close can hold above 0.633. If they do, the next level to watch is 0.6595 (around the 24h high), followed by the round-number level of 0.70. The invalidation levels are just as clear: an 1h close back below 0.633 returns us to a choppy outlook; a close below 0.6204 restores the weakening assessment.

Risk warning: price is most prone to a false breakout when hovering right around a key level. With the month-end unlock approaching, volatility may only increase. This is not investment advice.

Pick one: will $TIA hold above 0.633 into tonight’s close, or will it break below again and get pushed back? Which side are you on?
