This rebound has been pretty interesting
The leader isn’t $BTC himself

BTC is hovering around 82.5K
Up about 1% over the past 24 hours
So it’s climbed back from last Sunday’s low of 80.7K

But the real outperformer is DeFi
The CoinDesk DeFi Index is up 0.81%
All 6 constituents are in the green
$ARB surged 6.7% in a single candle
CD80 is up 0.9%, about three times the gain of CD5, which is heavily weighted toward BTC

Why?
Nasdaq futures are up more than 1% today
China’s third-quarter GDP came in at 4.5%, above expectations
Oil prices have eased a bit too
As risk appetite returns, money tends to flow first into assets with more upside potential

Let me pour a little cold water on this 🧊
Prices have bounced, but ETF inflows haven’t returned yet
BTC and ETH ETFs saw a combined outflow of 549 million last week
ETH has seen nearly 955 million flow out in October—its worst month of the year

So for now, this looks more like sentiment recovering
rather than confirmation that fresh capital is coming in

I’m keeping an eye on that Glassnode line too
The average ETF cost basis is around 81.5K
As long as we’re above it, the market looks fairly stable
To say that buying has really returned,
we’d need to see a break above 84K
along with two consecutive days of net ETF inflows

What do you think?
Is DeFi leading the rotation this time,
or will this be another bounce that fizzles out?
