But when you compare it with the BCV rate (Bs. 881.07), another figure appears: a 15.11% premium. And that’s where I see the mistake people make every week: thinking that premium is profit. It isn’t. It’s the cost of getting into a dollar that the free market charges more for than the official benchmark.

A HIGH PREMIUM ISN'T AN OPPORTUNITY

A 15% premium means that anyone who needs USDT today pays 15% more than the official rate. If you're buying to “take advantage,” you're already stepping in at the expensive part of the day. The premium goes up and down; so does the internal spread. Neither is free money, and confusing the two is how you lose money in P2P.

WHAT DID CHANGE THIS WEEK

Binance now accepts bolívares via Pago Móvil, so the bolívar → $USDT route is shorter and has less friction. More offers, more competition, better prices in the order book. That's what you should really keep an eye on: depth and the number of offers, not the day's headline.

THREE THINGS TO DO BEFORE TRADING

1) Check the actual selling price, not the displayed one: what you're paid when you sell is what counts.

2) Verify the payment method and your counterparty's history before releasing the funds.

3) If the internal spread widens beyond 1%, wait: liquidity returns and the order book readjusts.

The Venezuelan market has two sides today: a tight P2P order book and a premium over the BCV rate that remains inflated. Understanding the difference is what separates traders who make informed decisions from those who just react. 💪
