Watch out for this: the number that excites you is not the number they pay you. 💵

Today on Binance P2P, $USDT is bought at Bs. 1.031,18 and sold at Bs. 1.002,67. Two figures, one same market, and between them there is Bs. 28,50 of difference per dollar.

Why does it matter? Because many people see the buy price and assume that is "the dollar price today". But if what you do is sell your USDT to move into bolivars, your real reference is Bs. 1.002,67. With 100 USDT, that wrong reading means Bs. 2.850 of difference in your pocket.

That gap is equivalent to a 2.84% spread. And that’s the figure to keep an eye on, not just the day’s headline.

The context: the BCV rate is still Bs. 876.80, so the P2P premium over the official rate is 17.61%. With 244 active offers, the order book feels deep. When there’s order flow, the spread tightens; when the flow dries up, it widens suddenly. Today, 2.84% is within a manageable range, and the figures are moving slowly, without any jumps—a sign that liquidity is at work.

A practical tip: ALWAYS check both sides before accepting a trade. The buy side tells you how much someone else is paying to get in; the sell side tells you how much you’ll get when you exit. Also check the ad’s minimum amount, the trader’s limits, and any fees your bank charges. A good spread is no use if the limits don’t work for you.

A tip from home: don’t close a trade based on what the board at the top says—close it based on what the order in front of you says. They’re two different things, and that difference costs you bolívares.
