Dromos Labs’ Aerodrome and Velodrome will merge on October 21 at 20:00 ET (October 22 at 08:00 UTC+8), upgrading to a unified liquidity layer, Aero. The official upgrade center states that legacy emissions will end and new Aero emissions will begin at that time. The upgrade portal will open simultaneously at aerodrome.finance and velodrome.finance.
Spot $AERO will convert to the new $AERO at a 1:1 ratio; $VELO will convert at approximately 0.044 (with about 94.5% of the new supply allocated to Aerodrome and 5.5% to Velodrome). veAERO / veVELO will convert to sAERO, with remaining lockup times rounded up to the nearest full week. The conversion will not happen automatically: holders must claim their rewards, clear their votes, and then use the portal. The initial launch will span seven networks: Base, Ethereum, OP Mainnet, Arc, Ink, Robinhood Chain, and Arbitrum.
