The broader market hasn’t picked a side yet, and I won’t pick one for it: $BTC is stuck in a narrow range between 82500 and 83500. On the 4H chart, it’s just climbed back above both moving averages, but the trend hasn’t turned up yet.
Yesterday I said I was leaning bearish and would wait. BTC didn’t break down or move out of the range, so waiting was the right call. My trades didn’t go as smoothly: all four closed positions hit their stop-losses, for 0 wins and 4 losses. Each one exited at its stop—no holding and hoping.
I currently have five open positions, all long. $STRK is up +9.93% and trending today, but its 4H RSI is already at 80, so I’m holding without adding. The stop at 0.08832 stays in place. $TIA is up +8.58%, with a stop at 0.5254; I’ll keep holding as long as the trend remains intact. Another small-cap coin and two long positions in US stock indices are up between +0.6% and +4%. All five positions are part of my copy-trading portfolio, and the people following my trades took the same four stop-losses yesterday. I won’t only show you the winners.
The Fear & Greed Index is at 64, in the greed zone, but BTC funding rates are negative. People are saying “greed” while betting short. Short positions are looking crowded, so there’s a decent chance of a squeeze upward.
Plan: If price gets above 83500 (yesterday’s rebound high), the bearish view is invalidated. I’ll treat the broader market as strengthening and hold my longs with confidence. If it breaks below 82500 (the low of this 4H range), the bearish trend continues. I’ll hold my existing longs without adding, and let the stops do their job. I won’t act between these two levels. The worst thing to do today is chase either side right in the middle of the range.
