USDT/VES does not have a single price: it has several, and they are all true at the same time. The snapshot from 09-Oct-2026 at 14:00 UTC makes this clear. The P2P radar showed a buy price of 1.031,06 Bs and a sell price of 988,76 Bs, with an aggregate spread of 42,30 Bs (4,28%). Twenty-six seconds earlier, at 13:59:44, the consolidated order book showed a best ask of 1.015,30 Bs and a best bid of 1.015,11 Bs: a spread of just 0,19 Bs (0,02%).

The gap between 42.30 Bs and 0.19 Bs is neither a calculation error nor corrupted data. These are two different ways of aggregating the same market. Here we break down the three observable price levels, explain where each spread comes from, and how the premium over the BCV is calculated. This is an analysis of price structure, not a trading recommendation.

📊 Level 1: the P2P radar’s aggregated rate

The radar publishes two rates: buy (the amount paid in bolivars per USDT) at 1,031.06 Bs, and sell (the amount received when handing over USDT) at 988.76 Bs. The reported spread is the simple difference between the two: 1,031.06 − 988.76 = 42.30 Bs. As a percentage of the sell side, that is 4.28%.

This measures the gap between two aggregated prices, not the actual cost of entering and exiting the market. The two rates come from different sets of offers, with different banks, limits, and reputations. The figure answers how far apart the two published extremes are, not how much it costs to execute a specific order.

📈 Level 2: the order book and its actual ceiling

The order book shows the live top of book: 1,015.30 Bs on the ask and 1,015.11 Bs on the bid, with a midpoint of 1,015.20 Bs. The spread there is 0.19 Bs, or 0.02% of the bid.

There is an operational detail that changes how this should be read. The best ask is held by a single offer of 9,481.91 USDT, with limits between 948.19 and 9,481.91 USDT, through BANK and Banco de Venezuela. That price exists, but it has a ceiling. The second level is 1,016.00 Bs, with 33,188.32 USDT across four offers, and another significant level is 1,017.00 Bs, with 30,593.21 USDT. The depth is not at the top of book; it is on the next levels.

🔎 Level 3: asks from other platforms in the same book

The consolidated book is not just Binance. Asks from other platforms start at 1,019.50 Bs and go up to 1,024.50 Bs. This means the visible range of sell offers runs from 1,015.30 to 1,024.50 Bs: 9.20 Bs, or 0.91% above Binance’s best ask.

The gap between the best ask on each platform—1,015.30 Bs on Binance versus 1,019.50 Bs on other platforms—is 4.20 Bs, or 0.41%. Different payment methods (Pago Móvil and Other Method dominate the higher levels on other platforms) and different merchant pools explain much of that gap.

Source Buy price Sell price Spread P2P radar 1,031.06 Bs 988.76 Bs 42.30 Bs (4.28%) Order book 1,015.11 Bs (bid) 1,015.30 Bs (ask) 0.19 Bs (0.02%) Parallel dollar (Binance P2P) 1,023.41 Bs 1,014.76 Bs 8.65 Bs (0.85%)

💰 Why the spread changes depending on the source

Three reasons explain the gap between 42.30 Bs and 0.19 Bs:

• What is being subtracted. The radar subtracts two aggregated rates from opposite sides. The order book subtracts the best live order on each side. The operation is similar, but the inputs are not.

• Scope and filters. The radar summarizes 265 active offers and includes levels from other exchanges. The order book in this snapshot is a level-2 view with 245 total listings, 16 buy offers, and 31 sell offers.

• Snapshot timing. The order book was captured at 13:59:44 and the radar at 14:00:10. In Venezuelan P2P, half a minute is enough for a merchant to remove or repost an offer.

Limits matter too. An offer at an excellent price with a cap of 15 USDT does not move the price seen by someone who needs 500 USDT. The top of book provides information; the limits determine what is possible.

🛡️ How the premium over the BCV is calculated

The premium over the BCV compares the observed rate with the official rate and measures the relative difference: (1,031.06 ÷ 875.65) − 1 = 17.75%. This is the figure reported by the radar’s traffic light indicator and matches the change published on the dashboard.

The same calculation applied to other references from the same snapshot:
