Sunday, October 4th, 8:00 AM, and P2P is waking up with 292 active offers. But the data that almost nobody looks at is inside Binance: buying $USDT at Bs. 977.43 and selling at Bs. 974.56. Only Bs. 2.87 of difference. A spread of 0.29%. 🔍
Outside, they tell you it’s 4.56% and a 12.85% premium versus the BCV (Bs. 871.37). And it is true… but that number is the average of the whole market, not what you end up paying when you enter the exchange house you use every day.
Why does it matter?
1️⃣ Binance's book is tight. When the gap between buy and sell shrinks to zero, there are real counterparties and no fake ads. That’s the kind of Sunday the serious trader likes.
2️⃣ 292 offers aren’t a lot. Sunday, hangover from the weekend, merchants disconnected. Fewer ads = less competition for your order = more care with the price you accept without checking.
3️⃣ The 12.85% premium is context, not destiny. With the BCV at 871.37, buying at 977.43 costs you almost 13% above the official rate. If your trade needs that reference, let it be a conscious decision—not pure inertia.
This week there was talk about the gradual rollout of Binance's crypto card in the country and about Mobile Payment supporting liquidity. Everything points to the same thing: the bolívar and the $USDT keep walking hand in hand, and whoever doesn’t open the book before accepting pays more.
My Sunday routine, no mystery:
• Filter by advertiser reputation, not just by price.
• I compare the ad's quoted rate against the day's rate before hitting "accept."
• I verify the bank and the account holder. If the name doesn’t match, there’s no deal.
• I screenshot the order. Always.
No trick, just a method. 🐾
And if you’re going to move $BTC o $USDT this Sunday, do it with your eyes open: the market doesn’t forgive the one who guesses.
