🔥 $ETH — BIG LONG SETUP

I’m looking to build a long on ETH around this area, with a bit of room for a DCA if we get a deeper pullback.

Entry: $2,700 – $2,655
TP1: $2,742
TP2: $2,785
TP3: $2,815
SL: $2,632

I like the way ETH is recovering from the recent dip, but I’m not chasing the move here. If price comes back into the entry zone, I’ll be watching how it reacts and taking profits step by step. 🤝📈

Let’s see if ETH can make another push toward the $2.8K area.(DYOR).🔍

📈 BTC reclaims $86K, the second day of Q4 continues to rebound

BTC is currently around $86.3K, briefly nearing $86.9K during the day; ETH is around $2.76K, SOL around $122.

Overall, the market has warmed up. Since the beginning of October, BTC has risen by about 3%. However, Treasury yields are still high, the dollar is strengthening, and macro pressure has not disappeared.

🔥 ETF inflows return as the core support

In September, the US spot BTC ETF recorded net inflows of about $2.65B, the second-strongest monthly performance since October 2025; ETH spot ETFs saw net inflows of about $832M in the same period.

On Oct 1, BTC ETFs again logged around $102.7M in net inflows, with the funds mainly flowing to BlackRock’s IBIT.

🏦 SEC: New framework for institutional crypto custody

The market is continuing to digest the SEC’s Crypto Custody proposal released yesterday.

Under the new scheme, qualified investment advisers and regulated funds may, under certain circumstances, self-custody crypto assets, and state-level trust companies may also be used as custodians.

However, note that this is still a Proposal—not the final rules. After the formal release, there will be a 60-day public comment period.

💰 Citi raises its BTC target to $113K

Citi raised its 12-month BTC target from $82K to $113K, and its ETH target from $2,240 to $3,028.

The report attributes the forecast adjustments mainly to ETF capital returning, higher activity in the crypto market, and an improving macro environment.

This is an institutional view, not a price guarantee.

⚡ The real test today: US Non-Farm Payrolls

US September NFP employment data will be released today.

The market previously expected an increase of about 90K jobs, with the unemployment rate staying at 4.1%. The employment report will directly affect how the market assesses the Fed’s interest-rate path for October.

Meanwhile, Core Lightning reminds users running older versions of nodes to upgrade as soon as possible—unupdated nodes are increasingly becoming targets of attacks.

📊 Market Snapshot

BTC ≈ $86.3K
ETH ≈ $2.76K
SOL ≈ $122
XRP ≈ $1.53
BTC Dominance ≈ 57%
Fear & Greed ≈ 72
Market Cap ≈ $2.99T

🎯 On Day 2 of Q4, the market’s logic is changing:

ETF inflows are back in, the institutional regulatory framework continues to move forward, BTC has reclaimed $86K,

But what will truly determine today’s行情 is still US employment data.

If Non-Farm Payrolls give the market more room for rate cuts, $87K will become the key level again.

Today, don’t listen to the story.

Look at the data.

I’ve divided the existing meme coins into four categories:

1. Yesterday’s Flowers

They appeared relatively early, the topic is now outdated, and their extensibility is limited; most of them are mined coins. It’s unlikely that in 2028 they will surpass the 2021 peak. Coins in this category include: ATOM, FIL, BSV, ICP, DOT, etc.

2. Business as Usual

These emerged before 2021 and have a certain market share. The projects are still actively operating and developing. The expected price performance of these coins will track the overall market, with a total market cap likely increasing by 1–2 times. Coins in this category include: LINK, CRV, DOGE, XRP, XLM, HBAR, etc.

3. Advanced Productive Forces

These appeared in 2021 and after, representing (widely recognized) advanced productive forces and the future direction of development. The ceilings of these coins are higher than those of the “Business as Usual” category, and they are likely to grow stronger during a bull market. Coins in this category include: SOL, SEI, SUI, LIT, PUMP, ONDO, PENDLE, ENA, HYPE, NEAR, UNI, AAVE, etc.

4. The Dark Horse Prince

They emerged in 2024–2026. They don’t belong to the mainstream narrative at first, but they gradually move into mainstream view. They have substantial room for future development, but there’s also a chance of failure—depending on whether they can become part of the mainstream narrative and continue to be a hot topic.

Coins in this category include: PONS, AERO, VVV, TAO, ZAMA, ETHFI, Niu Lai, RE, BIO, etc.

As a steady, leveraged long trader, my main positions are in categories 2 and 3, trying to balance in category 4 as well, and doing my best to avoid category 1.

Are you really suited to make a living by trading?
Part Six

⑥ Finally, ask yourself one more question

Do you really spend a lot of time every day learning and analyzing?

Many people ask me:

“Why don’t I have results even after trading for a year?”

But if you dig in carefully:

How many hours do you actually spend learning every day?

Do you do a review afterward?

Do you keep a trading log?

Do you track your win rate, profit-to-loss ratio, and maximum drawdown?

Do you analyze what kinds of market conditions you are most likely to make mistakes in?

In the end, you’ll find that:

In fact, many people don’t really do it.

So some people say:

“I’m not good at trading, so trading isn’t for me.”

I think that conclusion was reached too quickly.

You should first ask yourself:

Have I really built a trading environment that suits me?

Have I really found a trading approach that fits my personality?

Have I really put in enough time to learn?

Have I systematically verified my method?

If these questions still haven’t been resolved,

then it’s time to say:

“Trading isn’t working.”

Actually, it’s still too early.

Finally, what I want to say is:

Many people understand “successful trading” as:

Finding a magical indicator.

But in reality, truly long-term, stable trading is more like a complete system:

your income structure
+your lifestyle
+your trading
+your personality
+a trading style that suits you
+knowledge
+risk management
+mental resilience

As long as any one of these elements has been a problem for a long time,

it may eventually show up in your trading results.

So before asking:

“Can I get rich by trading?”

first ask yourself:

“Is my current life really already prepared for me to become a trader?”

This may be far more important than learning another indicator.

If you’re interested in trading, feel free to leave a comment in the comment section or join the chat room to exchange ideas and learn together and grow together!

The real pressure is macro: the US 10-year Treasury yield remains above 5.2%, Brent crude has broken above $106, and the US dollar stays strong.
🔥 ETF flows haven’t stopped
On 9/28, the US spot BTC ETF still recorded about $31M in net inflows. Spot ETFs for ETH, SOL, and XRP also maintained net inflows.
Prices are adjusting, but institutional capital hasn’t fully exited.
🏦 Coinbase completes the closed loop for US derivatives infrastructure
The CFTC approved Coinbase Clearing LLC as a derivatives clearing entity.
Now Coinbase has a broker, an exchange, and a clearing entity, further strengthening its compliant derivatives business in the US.
💵 Citi × Coinbase
Both sides expand their stablecoin partnership, making it easier for businesses to receive stablecoin payments and to complete fiat settlement through the banking system.
⚠️ The Bitget incident continues to move forward
Bitget today resumed ETH and EVM network withdrawals as planned.
Meanwhile, NEAR Intents says it has intercepted more than $50M in cross-chain transfers related to the Bitget attackers.
🌏 Macro adds yet another spark
The Reserve Bank of Australia raised rates to 4.60%, the highest level since 2011.
The market now faces high oil prices, high bond yields, and geopolitical risks at the same time.
📌 Market Snapshot
BTC ≈ $83.5K ETH ≈ $2.69K SOL ≈ $119 Market Cap ≈ $2.86T BTC Dominance ≈ 58–59% Fear & Greed ≈ 70+
🎯 Today’s market is interesting:
Prices are cooling off, while ETF capital is still flowing in; macro conditions are tightening, yet institutional infrastructure continues to expand.
Next, what’s really worth watching is support at $82K–83K, and whether ETF inflows can keep staying positive.
