Greed reaching a market sentiment level of 74—yet $BTC only kept oscillating between 83750 and 84386 all night. Still in a downtrend on the 4H, and the price is stuck to the two moving averages. So today I won’t open any new positions; I’ll just focus on my current five long positions.
Yesterday I said that 82832 not breaking wasn’t a bad sign; new entries would depend on how it chooses. Today’s low was 83750—still far from that level—so direction hasn’t truly been chosen yet. Waiting is the right move. However, the two trades I closed yesterday both hit stop-loss; 0 wins, 2 losses—this one I’ll record honestly.
The position with the most to say is $QNT : the long position is currently +23.7%. It even surged to #1 on the trending list today. The stop-loss is still at 110.12 with no changes. As long as the trend hasn’t broken down, I’ll keep holding. The other four are two major old coins and two US stock index contracts; all of them are between -0.4% and +1.5%. None of the stop-loss levels have been touched, so I’ll keep them. These five are all in my copy-trading package, and those who copy get the same entry and the same stop-loss. Yesterday, when the two stopped out, the copiers took the losses at the same time too.
There’s a sentiment mismatch worth looking at: the index is in the greed zone, but BTC’s funding rate is only 0.003%, so leverage hasn’t really crowded in. Sentiment is hot while positions are cold—meaning no one has truly committed to a direction yet. So there’s even less reason to rush ahead.
The script: I’ll only consider opening new longs after breaking above 85224 (the top of the recent range). The 4H closes below 82832 (the low point of this pullback). The bullish case is invalidated; each long position follows its own stop-loss and exits. The middle part—I won’t touch it.
The one thing I shouldn’t do today: see QNT go to #1 on the trending list and then chase it. RSI is already 85. Entering now would be taking delivery for the people who got on the train this morning—I won’t add either.
