The P2P spread in Venezuela was cut almost in half in eleven days. 😮

On September 6, we measured a 7.5% spread between buying and selling $USDT. Today, Thursday 17, the reference shows Bs. 970.99 to buy and Bs. 932.38 to sell: Bs. 38.61 in difference, 4.14%. Half of that peak.

📉 WHAT'S BEHIND IT

It's no coincidence. The gap that comes from it is changing, dropping to the year's lows due to a higher supply of foreign currency—something Finanzas Digital reported in August and Bloomberg in July. When more dollars enter the system, P2P prices ease and the differential compresses on its own.

And there’s one detail that almost nobody looks at: inside Binance’s book, the gap between the best buy offer and the best sell offer is around Bs. 3.62. In other words, most of the real liquidity is concentrated there, moving between 234 active orders.

💡 WHAT I WOULD CHECK BEFORE MOVING

1️⃣ Depth, not just the price of the first listing. A flashy ad with 5 USDT won’t move anything.

2️⃣ The payment method and the bank. Bank friction ends up costing you more than the spread itself.

3️⃣ The time. Liquidity doesn’t behave the same at 8 in the morning as it does at 9 at night.

4️⃣ Your limits. Know your rules before opening the chat, not during.
