🚨 $XRP Sinks 10%: What led to the liquidation? 📉
The apartment turned cold as trust waned,
and sometimes a single broken expectation can shake the entire market.
XRP fell by nearly 10% to around $1.30 on September 16, becoming one of the most heavily hit large cryptocurrencies after the broader market declined.
One of the main triggers was the U.S. Senate’s failure to move forward with the CLARITY Act, as the procedural vote ended 49-50. This setback added another layer of uncertainty about the regulatory framework that crypto markets had been awaiting.
But XRP’s weakness wasn’t isolated. Bitcoin slid toward $76K, while Ethereum and Solana also saw major drops, suggesting broader “risk-avoidance” pressure rather than something specific to XRP alone.
My view: The key signal is the combination of regulatory uncertainty and inherently fragile market sentiment. When traders lose confidence in the broader risk environment, high-beta assets may see sharper moves.

❓Does XRP’s 10% drop mainly reflect a regulatory shock, or evidence of a wider aversion to risk?
