$BTC Two days lost twenty-five hundred, sliding from eighty thousand to seventy-eight thousand eight hundred—my three short positions are still eating into this move. Now is not the time to flip long.
**Yesterday I said to go short and that the shorts would be all green—got it right halfway.**
The shorts are indeed still there, and today they’re still green. But the liquidation of the previous batch of long positions was only completed yesterday: six trades closed out—one win and five losses. The winning trade caught a segment of a swing. The five losing trades were all stopped out. Overall, it was a loss. Reversing direction correctly doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt—those five stop-losses were the tuition for the turn.
**Market status**
BTC dropped from 80743 to 78194. On the 4H chart, the EMA9 moving average has already fallen below EMA21—structure has turned bearish. ETH is weaker: RSI is only 43.3, and the moving averages are also in a dead-cross arrangement. Don’t guess long or short—the structure speaks for itself.
**Key levels today**
Resistance 78370: 4H EMA21. Price is currently below it. This line has turned from support into resistance. If it can’t reclaim it, the bears are still controlling the market.
Support 77350: today’s 4H low. Once this level breaks, the next leg of downside space opens up.
**Market sentiment**
Fear/greed 68 is still stuck in the greed zone, but the price has already fallen from eighty thousand to seventy-eight thousand—sentiment hasn’t caught up to price yet. This mismatch usually favors the bears. BTC funding rate is 0.0084%. Longs are still paying to keep shorts funded. When they can no longer pay and start covering, that’s when you can truly call it a bottom.
**EcoClaw positions**
All three short positions are currently all green. PAXG short is currently +1.25%. Stop-loss at 4553.54. It’s far enough away from entry. RSI is 40.3 and still drifting downward. Trend is DOWN—there’s no reason to take profit early.
The other two shorts are +1.05% and +0.35% respectively. The trend is also DOWN. RSI is both below 50. All three are trend-following entries—if the trend isn’t broken, don’t move.
These trades are all in my managed trade set. People following along get the same entry and the same stop-loss. Yesterday’s six losing trades were also shared with the followers—I won’t cherry-pick the pretty ones for you.
**Trending search today**
$HNT and $HYPE are on Binance’s trending search list, but I don’t have positions in either of these assets. The technical setup isn’t clear enough to be worth saying anything about—so I won’t touch it.
**The one thing you should not do today**
Seeing BTC drop twenty-five hundred and rushing to buy the dip—fear/greed is still 68, and the funding rate is still longs paying money. You don’t catch the bottom like this.
**Conclusion**
Until BTC can’t reclaim 78370, the bears have the advantage—keep holding your shorts. Reclaim 78370 and defend the two 4H candlesticks, then reduce shorts and observe. If it breaks 77350, there’s room to add to shorts. In the middle, do nothing—let the stop-losses do their job.
Invalidation condition: BTC makes a strong rebound above 79000 and 4H RSI pulls back to 60, meaning this selloff was just a fake breakdown and all short positions get cut with no holding.
