Today, 19/08/2026, I’m going to tell you guys about the first close call where I almost had to pay a stupid fee on Binance P2P. It left an unforgettable mark on me from back when I was young and inexperienced. I even thought I was some kind of crypto genius—turns out I was just that naive.

Back then, I found a trader selling USDT at an insanely good price, so I rushed into the order without checking their profile properly. The moment the order matched, he messaged me in Binance chat saying the system was lagging and asking me to move over to Zalo for faster communication. Sounds reasonable, right? I agreed immediately, with zero hesitation.

Just a few seconds after we connected, he sent me a screenshot showing a successful payment transfer—and kept urging me to unlock the crypto right away because he needed it urgently. My heart was pounding because I was so happy… but luckily, a final thread of common sense pulled me back.

I decided to log in to my banking app myself to verify instead of trusting that screenshot. And the truth was: my account received absolutely nothing. It was just a carefully edited image.

That hard-earned lesson is one I want to share with everyone: absolutely never trade outside the Binance platform. All conversations and confirmations must happen on the exchange so you’re protected. Always verify the payment yourself in your bank account. Never trust screenshots.

And finally, take a few seconds to review your counterparty’s profile before starting any trade. This story literally saved me from a huge loss. If you find it useful, hit like and follow me to hear more real-world trading experiences nhé.
