Costliest gasoline, higher market tension ⚠️⛽

On Friday in Garden City, New York, Donald Trump said that Americans should accept higher gasoline prices as part of the cost to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

The statement came alongside an even more striking threat: Trump said that, after defeating Iran, he intends to declare the Strait of Hormuz a territory of the United States.

The market is already feeling the pressure. Brent reached about US$88.52 and WTI US$82.40, with attacks on oil tankers and traffic stoppages in Hormuz increasing the risk to the global supply of oil.

My take: as long as tensions continue, oil, inflation, and market volatility remain on the radar. And for crypto, this scenario could mean even greater sensitivity to any new geopolitical escalation.

Now the question is: how high can the oil price go if Hormuz remains blocked? 👀
