COMPLAINTS ARE NOT CAUSING TROUBLE FOR ANYONE
Many people are reluctant to press the “Complaint” button because they think it will make things stressful for the other party. I used to think that too, and because of that, there was once I sat around waiting uselessly for half a day.
🚫 Common misunderstandings
- Filing a complaint is accusing the other person
- Once you open a complaint, the order gets canceled and I lose money
- You must be 100% sure you were scammed before you can file a complaint
✅ The reality
- This is a request to Binance to mediate based on evidence, not to convict anyone
- The crypto remains in escrow throughout the entire processing time; neither party can withdraw it
- If the order has anything unclear, that alone is already sufficient reason
📁 Prepare three things before opening
Order ID, a receipt with the sender’s name, and screenshots of the entire chat window. Capture from the beginning—don’t crop it—because the person handling it only sees exactly what you send.
🔗 Where to open it
Go to the Orders section of that order, then choose the part for reporting a problematic transaction. All prior exchanges are already stored in the Binance chat window, so they are evidence by themselves—this is why I never message outside.
⏳ Then wait
Direct support 24/7, usually responding within 24 to 48 hours. During that time, don’t transfer back yourself or make private arrangements. If the other side urges you to withdraw the complaint to resolve it faster, that’s exactly when you should not withdraw.
✅ Best practice is still to use it as little as possible
Check the badge and the completion rate before matching, and only release when the balance in the bank app has updated to the correct amount.
Has anyone here ever opened a complaint? What was the result?
