$DUSK : What does block emission really mean?
The emission of DUSK has an interesting structure that’s worth looking beyond the token price.
According to the scheme shown, each block generates 19.8574 DUSK, distributed as follows:
🔹 70% — Base generator: 13.90018 DUSK
🔹 Up to 10% — Bonus for generator credits: 1.98574 DUSK
🔹 10% — Development: 1.98574 DUSK
🔹 5% — Validation committee: 0.99287 DUSK
🔹 5% — Ratification committee: 0.99287 DUSK
The most interesting part is the generator’s bonus.
If the necessary credits are obtained, the generator can receive up to 15.88592 DUSK per block. If those credits aren’t used, the 1.98574 DUSK bonus is burned according to the scheme.
💡 This raises an important question to analyze DUSK’s tokenomics:
Does the credit system manage to incentivize truly useful participation in the network, or does it simply increase the generators’ reward?
For me, this is a more interesting metric than looking only at the DUSK price: we need to understand how the tokens are created, distributed, and in some cases, removed.
Do you think this model favors the long-term health of the DUSK network? 👇
